We first discovered Dirty Bird Run Club (DBRC) on a week-long trip to New York last February, and became honorary Birds until we officially moved. We love the club for many reasons and were really excited to get to talk with the guy who started it all, Jack Gilbert a.k.a. Slutty Starling. Dirty Bird continues to pioneer the NY run club scene and Jack gives a lot of good insight into his philosophy around being successful as a group and the challenges of evolving.

As everyone knows, March is International Women’s month, and we wanted to take this opportunity to have some really incredible women on r.a.d. We’re kicking it off strong with Erin Bailey!! Between starting an agency, Momentum Management, to being an incredibly badass athlete herself, Erin has a ton of wisdom to share. We are constantly inspired by her strive to support and empower runners at the intersection of impact and influence and hope this episode can encourage you to take a leap of faith.

The girlies are officially in New York!!! Starting off a new month with another solo episode, where we get into making new friends in your 20's post-grad and finding a community when moving to a new city. We're purely just talking from our own experiences, but hopefully provide some useful tips if you've also recently moved to a new city or are looking to meet new people!

If you listened to our episodes with Rob Perez or Lucy Scholz, you've heard of TSP. This unsanctioned race decided to do something even CRAZIER and bring the 300 mile event to the Atacama Desert in Chile. Rob and Lucy both ran solo again and crushed it, but in today's episode, we want to highlight Rob's all-star pacer - Parley Hannan. Parley ran cross country at Ithaca and is now a pro-runner on the Northwoods Athletics Team. Never having met Rob before, she volunteered to pace him for 230 of the total 290 miles and helped him win, finishing in 87 hours. If you're interested in hearing the behind-the-scenes on the race and Parley's experience running more miles per week than anyone we've ever met, give this episode a listen!!

We also talk about his experience and reason for running all six Abbott World Major Marathons in one year and how it has now led him to wanting to share other people's stories.
