Legacy is defined as something that is received or passed down from a loved one. What legacy will you pass down when you are gone? There is something powerful about reproducing a spiritual legacy in your children, or those who you have influence over. But this won't happen unless you do it intentionally with a vision!
Sometimes when we are waiting for an answered prayer in our life we interpret God's delay as denial. Is there something in your life that you think is too wonderful to see come to pass? Is it too late for you even if that miracle happened? We have to deal with this problem of "too" in order to walk in all that God has for us.
During this message Pastor Lee challenges listeners to recall the plans, hopes and promises that God once placed in their hearts. Through out our lives we can find ourself anxiously awaiting these promises to come to pass, sometimes to the point of settling for less then God's best. Just as Abraham left his tent to look at the stars, will you believe God and dare to dream again?
Some people don't like to hear talk about money during a church service. In this straight forward message Pastor Lee shares about what it means to give your ten percent. It is more then a commandment that we need to follow to keep our guilty conscience at bay, because as we see in scripture, Abraham gave his tithe long before it was a law. We can tithe out of our love and commitment to Christ, we can tithe for life.
In this powerful message by guest speaker David Perkins, we are taken back to the familiar story of when Abraham was called to sacrifice his only son Isaac. With a fresh perspective on this well known tale, David challenges us to trust God with the next step, because sometimes we don't get to see the whole map ahead of us. What if Abraham hadn't trusted God? What next step is God calling you to?
As Abraham came against obstacles in his journey, scriptures record him making decisions and choices based out of his fear and insecurities. Fear is the greatest enemy of your destiny. When we take matters into our own hands it is an open door to walk into a situation without God's direction. We have to deal with the problem of fear.
Through the life of Abraham we see an example of how he obeyed God while he didn't even know where he was going. Sometimes there is a risk in setting out without knowing our destination, but God is faithful and where our ability fails - God is faithful. There is significance in the journey!
Expectation is the thing that sets us apart for a move from God. Regardless of the disappointments in your past we have to believe God more than we fear the unknown. The first step in this process is to change the way we think - nothing else changes until that point. Do you have great expectations on God?
Throughout scriptures God told a grand story of how he was planning to fulfill his ultimate promise. In this message Pastor Lee takes us on a journey to see the different movements of the redemption and how they lead up to the exciting promise being fulfilled, a time we now celebrate as Christmas, Christ's birth.
