Radiant Reflections

Are you afraid of spiritual gifts? Unsure how they work? In this message, we break down the walls of confusion around the gifts of the Spirit and discover how to operate in them biblically and healthily.

What You'll Learn:

✅ The difference between abuse and neglect of spiritual gifts

✅ All 9 gifts listed in 1 Corinthians 12 explained

✅ How prophecy and tongues actually work (without the weirdness)

✅ Why every believer is "charismatic"

✅ The difference between seeking gifts vs. seeking the Gift-Giver

Join us for a powerful conversation about moving from simply knowing about the Holy Spirit to truly experiencing His presence and power in everyday life.

What We Discuss:

Ryan's personal journey from stiff-arming the Holy Spirit to walking in intimacy with Him

The difference between observing God's work and actively participating in it

Why your deepest wounds might be the key to bringing healing to others

Moving beyond "holy huddles" to become rivers of life flowing into broken places

How God's power works through wounded, ordinary people

Practical spiritual disciplines: faithful prayer, community, sharing testimonies, and starting each day with God

In this special episode, we follow up on our conversation about flowing with God's river and invite you into an interactive Lectio Divina experience. We guide you through a contemplative reading of "The Visit of the Waiter" - a parable about a village, a river, and a mysterious stranger who invites people to wade into the water.

How do we distinguish God's voice from all the competing voices in our lives? In this message, Pastor Ryan explores the practice of hearing from the Holy Spirit in our daily walk with Christ.

Key Topics Covered:

Recognizing competing voices (our own thoughts, culture, trusted friends, rebellious tendencies)

Six ways the Holy Spirit speaks: through God's Word, illuminated Scripture, whispers and impressions, wonders and visions, compelling desires, and worship

Overcoming spiritual deafness through prayer, spiritual disciplines, and waiting on God

Creating space to listen in the midst of life's busyness

Using the metaphor of sheep knowing their shepherd's voice and a personal story about training his dog Ruger, Pastor Ryan reminds us that hearing God's voice requires practice, intentionality, and a willingness to tune out distractions.

How often are we withholding redemptive power just to save face?

The pastors get vulnerable about their own journeys, wrestling with authority in prayer, learning to hear the Spirit's promptings, and the challenge of moving from head knowledge to heart experience. Brandon shares a powerful testimony of receiving healing at a pastor's conference that illustrates exactly what this book is teaching.

Perfect for anyone who wants to move beyond intellectual Christianity into an experiential relationship with the Holy Spirit.

Discover the 5 key markers of a Spirit-led life:

✝️ Passions - How the Spirit reorients our desires away from the flesh

✝️ Promptings - Learning to hear and respond to the Spirit's voice

✝️ Power - The transformation of our character and the fruit of the Spirit

✝️ Prayer - Understanding how the Spirit directs and intercedes in our prayers

✝️ Praise - Worshiping through the Spirit who exalts Jesus

The early church chose a sailboat as their symbol because they understood something profound: we need the wind of God's Spirit to navigate life's turbulent waters. You are no longer defined by your flesh nature - if you belong to Christ, that old nature has been crucified. It's time to stop calling yourself by your sin and start embracing your identity as a saint, a child of the King.

Join Pastor Josh, Pastor Brandon, and Pastor Ryan as they continue their page-by-page journey through Tyler Staton's "The Familiar Stranger" - a deep dive into understanding the Holy Spirit.

In this episode, the pastors tackle some challenging questions: Is the Holy Spirit a force or a person? Would you trade your experience with the Holy Spirit for a face-to-face conversation with Jesus? And most importantly - are you available to the Spirit's work in your life?

Join us for part three of our series exploring the Holy Spirit and His work in our lives. In this message, we dive into John chapters 14-16, examining Jesus's "table talk" with His disciples during the Last Supper—a conversation so significant that it takes up 25% of John's Gospel.

Discover why Jesus told His disciples "it is for your benefit that I go away" and what that means for believers today. We explore three key benefits of the Holy Spirit's presence:

1️⃣ Deeper Relationship - The Spirit within us vs. Jesus beside us

2️⃣ Empowered Mission - Doing the works of Jesus through the Spirit's power

3️⃣ Eyes Wide Open - Understanding sin, righteousness, and judgment

Welcome to Season 5 of Radiant Reflections! Pastors Josh, Brandon, and Ryan launch a new series on "The Familiar Stranger" by Tyler Staton, exploring the Holy Spirit. They share their diverse church backgrounds and personal experiences with the Spirit, discussing the gap between biblical promises and everyday reality. From Catholic to Pentecostal traditions, they openly address being thirsty, suspicious, or uninformed about the Holy Spirit's work. This conversation kicks off a journey to close the gap between what we believe and what we experience. Running alongside the "In Pursuit of the Spirit" teaching series at Radiant Life Church.

Join us for the second installment of our "Pursuit of the Spirit" teaching series as we explore the multifaceted ministries of the Holy Spirit throughout Scripture.
