What’s The Buzz? Electricity minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa has again dampened optimism that load-shedding will end by December. There are conflicting messages from the ruling party about this sentiment….

This week Ramokgopa sounded the alarm on production at Koeberg power station, saying he was “very worried”.

• During the ANC's January 8 statement, President Cyril Ramaphosa said load-shedding would be ended by December as part of “putting citizens’ interests first”.
• Party secretary-general Fikile Mbalula on Sunday vowed that the blackouts would be a thing of the past by December.
