First Thing is First | South African children’s porn addiction crisis  The access that children as young as five have to smartphones and tablets feeds the addiction and has been cited as one of the factors that drives the ongoing cycle of sexual abuse.   

• These are the findings of a study by Unisa’s Bureau for Market Research’s Youth Research Unit (BMR unit), which has warned that some of the most shocking things that emerged from the research is that 35% of the children watch child pornography and 30% watch violent pornography. Nearly 65% also watch pornography between a man and a woman. They don’t really care that child pornography is illegal.

King Misuzulu ka-Zwelithini will tomorrow be performing the ritual called Ukungena Esibayeni, loosely translated as Entering the Kraal. The family says this is a significant step towards the coronation where the King is introduced to the ancestors as he prepares to ascend the throne. The ritual will take place at KwaKhangelamankengana palace in KwaNomngoma in northern KwaZulu-Natal. ARTS: This Saturday King Misuzulu is scheduled to have
his kraal entering ceremony in KwaNongoma, KZN. Earlier
this week we spoke about his brother Prince Simakade
being declared as the new king of the Zulu nation. We
now focus on the musical element of this ceremony and
we’re joined on the line by historian Mbuso Khoza.

An Eastern Cape artist who claims to be the
rightful designer of South Africa's flag has dragged Sport,
Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa to the Gauteng
High Court in Pretoria to compel him to provide details of
how the flag was created. Thembani Hastings Mqhayi
has for years claimed the man credited for the design of
the flag, Frederick Brownell, stole his designs and
submitted them as his own. We now speak to Mqhayi. We
reached out to the Department of Arts and Culture and
they declined to comment.
