The Alleged parliament arsonist Zandile Mafe is expected to appear at the Cape Town magistrates court today following the January torching of the national Parliament. The state alleges that he broke into parliament with intent to commit terrorism and theft. He's also facing charges of arson and other additional charges of terrorism. The state had asked for a six week postponement at the last appearance as the forensic investigation had not been completed. The KwaDukuza Magistrates Court has postponed the matter of a 45-year-old Ballito mother who allegedly killed her 4-year-old daughter. The accused mother who has been detained at the uMhlali police cells has now been sent to the Westville prison. It is alleged that the woman - who may not be identified in terms of an order by the court - tied the girl's hands and drowned her in a bucket of water last month. She appeared briefly in court accompanied by her lawyer. The matter has been adjourned for further investigations and a possible plea to June 9th.  Protesting residents at Musina in Limpopo have barricaded the N1 road between Musina town and the Beit Bridge border post over lack of water. They have barricaded the road with burning tyres, rocks and dustbins to prevent movement of motorists. Residents say they have not been getting water for almost two weeks.
