First Thing is First | October is Transport Month. To alleviate the public’s frustration with the renewal of driving licences  the Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula will tomorrow ,officially open two driving licence centres in Gauteng. 

• The initiative is part of efforts to improve efficiency and reduce the backlog in expired licences caused by the imposition  of Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.
• The two centres at Road Traffic Management Corporation premises at Eco-Park, Centurion and Waterfall Office Park in Midrand will allow the public to renew driving licences, professional driving permits and conversion of foreign driving licences.
• The centres will usher a new era of digitalisation in the traffic management sector where long queues will be eliminated.
• The event will be attended by captains of industry from among others the motor manufacturing, short-term insurance and car hire sectors.

• The book comprises of 30 poems, that address various topics from the preservation of the language, to commemorating Ms Charlotte Maxeke, the book also addresses societal ills, while you will also find a poem that talks about the beauty of nature, it also seeks to inspire a sense of pride in our languages as South Africans.
• It’s also a motivation tool for females to know their worth, to be a new breed of women who will build each other, other poems send a strong call to action against the current femicide in our country.
• The content of the book is easy to apprehend making it accessible to people of different ages.
