Phase two targets those aged over 60.
Government has set a target of vaccinating an estimated 5.5 million South Africans.

First Thing is First | First things first | Phase 2 of South Africa’s vaccine rollout, targeting people over the age of 60, begins today. This as Gauteng has surged into a third wave of Covid-19 cases. The health department is set to release details of more than 3,000 vaccination sites which will be used in Phase 2 and 3 of the rollout.Phase 1, which focuses on frontline healthcare workers, currently includes 92 vaccination sites. Healthcare workers and senior citizens are urged to register for their jabs.
