INTERVIEW: A teacher found guilty of sexual misconduct relating to the job will never be able to work in a public school in South Africa again. This is according to the new employment rules from the department of basic education. We now speak to Nkosana Dolophi who is Sadtu’s Deputy General Secretary.

AVIATION UPDATE: Airlink has suspended commercial flights to and from Polokwane. This comes after a move by the South African Civil Aviation Authority to downgrade the Polokwane International Airport to category two, which is below the minimum level required for scheduled commercial air services. So what’s permissible and what’s unacceptable about mourning in the digital age? Should we as a society set rules and follow them when it comes to social media etiquette where death is concerned? How should we deal with death in the social media age?

INTERVIEW: SA musicians will now receive royalties from Tiktok.
The deal will ensure that songwriters, composers and music publishers will receive royalty payments when their music is used on Tiktok.
The short-form video platform signed a multi-year licensing agreement with the Southern African Music Rights Organisation and Composers Authors and Publishers Association.
