The Logistics industry is one of the core contributors to the global economy. What the sector encompasses is very broad and covers essentially everything from a resource’s origin to a finished goods destination.

South Africans have once again questioned the government's priorities amid an economic crisis and jobs bloodbath which have been worsened by the Covid-19 pandemic. This after President Cyril Ramaphosa on Tuesday unveiled a R13 million statue of Oliver Tambo erected at OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg
Erecting statues and renaming national key points plays a major role in nation building. However, almost every time a new statue is unveiled, there is much debate about the costs involved - and in most cases, how those funds could have otherwise been spent.

Is erecting statues really the best way to remember our heroes or are there more impactful ways that money can be spent? Should we not be spending the money on those alive?

First things first (A story that we wake up to that has got our attention, which listeners can also take a bite in )

The murder case of slain Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa has been postponed to November 27. Five men appeared in Boksburg Magistrate's Court on Tuesday to answer charges related to the murder of Meyiwa, who was killed in Vosloorus in 2014. Ndzori' was shot dead while visiting the home of his girlfriend at the time, Kelly Khumalo, in the East Rand.
The five men are facing other charges including attempted murder, robbery with aggravating circumstances and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

The suspects, who will remain in custody until their next court appearance, initially refused to enter the dock at court and denied being involved in Meyiwa's murder.
