Known as Africa’s Greatest Horseracing Event, the Vodacom Durban July (VDJ) usually attracts thousands of eager punters and fashionistas to Durban’s Greyville Racecourse, but the current lockdown measures have seen organisers change things up a bit.
Given the reality of the present circumstances, the race meeting will be staged behind closed doors and without spectators.
The final field for this year’s Vodacom Durban July has been announced, giving punters plenty of time to work out their top picks and back their favourites. This year’s prize money totals R4.25 million with the winner taking around R2.5 million, second- place R800 000, third-place R400 000 and fourth-place R200 000.

ARTS: Quizzical Pictures, the production company that produces the SABC2's “Lithapo” has fired the actor accused of sexual harassment by actor Lorraine Moropa.
It comes after Moropa, who plays the role of Pabi on the telenovela, detailed sexual harassment allegations by a senior male colleague.
The young actress detailed some of the sexual acts that the cast member performed which were in front of the other cast and crew members.

INTERVIEW: Anthony Hamilton has released a new single “Back Together” featuring Rick James. Hamilton has also launched his new label My Music Box in partnership with BMG, and “Back Together” marks the first release under this newly minted alliance. Anthony Hamilton joins us from his home South Carolina in the US.
