The Congress of South African Students in the Western Cape is marching to Khayelitsha to close down schools. The student body is demanding that there should be not learning and teaching until all students and teachers are tested for Covid19. Earlier this morning COSAS Western Cape clashed with the police at Rhodes High School where it claims that there are positive cases. In Free State, COSAS carried out it's theats to continue with the disruption of schools in the province. This is despite the national leadership of COSAS saying they will cease to disrupt schools but will instead meet with the Department of Basic Education to iron out their differences...We spoke to COSAS's Acting Provincial Secretary in the Western Cape Mphumzi Giwu, Tsietsi Mbolekwa, COSAS's Provincial Secretary in the Free State, COSAS National secretary General, Teboho Magafane AND Elijah Mhlanga, Spokesperson for the Department of Basic Education.
