- A man convicted of double murder will learn his fate this week.
Wayne Bellafonte Jr., 33, will be sentenced this week after being convicted last year for the double murder of Mark Andre Ebanks, 36, and Eldon Charles Watson, 55, outside the Globe Bar in George Town on July 1, 2021.
- Masked Men with Knives Invade Bodden Town Home; Police Seek Witnesses
Around 12:30 PM on Friday, police responded to an aggravated burglary near North Sound Estates, Bodden Town. The victim encountered two masked men with knives and fled, striking one suspect with their vehicle. The suspects, described as slim, dark-complexioned, and around 5’9", ran south down Leeward Drive. Police are seeking witnesses and information.
