The first half of this program is devoted to the electrified version of CUMBIA that originated in Peru in the 1970's - known as CHICHA - electric guitars & keyboards up front! The 2nd half is almost a trans-atlantic cousin to the first - 1960's and 70's sounds from Luanda, ANGOLA - surf rock guitars and shuffling percussion.
