Todays show is going to be a little different that what we normally do...Most shows I have only one guest and we talk about radio and their career...today Ill be joined by several guests and all to talk about one person/Dick Kernen...Among our guest today will be Fred Jacobs, Mike Staff, Nancy Shiner from Specs Howard school and a few others who knew Dick quite well.

DicK Kernen spent 50  plus years of his life in radio...he was the Program Director when he switched 101.1FM from WZYZ to WRIF in 1971..he discovered the young  Arthur Penhallow...but these and other things he accomplished at the WRIF  are merely foot notes in a life that effected thousands of other lives and help make their life better.
 DIcK Kernen spent the better part of 5 decades at Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts, where he helped countless young men and women achieve their dream of working in Radio...The name of people who have been positively effected by what Dick Kernen did for them...well you're talking about a whos who list that seems to have no end...
today we are going to be talking with some of those folks who have been effected by Dick Kernen. here shortly Mike Staff will join us...Jyl Forsythe, Kelia Karson and John Stockwell too...we will also talk to Nancy Shiner who worked with Dick for so many years at Specs Howard..
