Episode 249: Women have made great strides but as long as any of us are left behind there is still much work to do. Women should not need to make their living selling their body or being objectified, and no woman should live in a culture of oppression. My guest Dr. Lesedi Lesetedi of Open Botswana University is an experienced leader who shares her message of how women can transform the world with intentional effort. Women are phenomenal and have the traits to be successful. We need to continue creating a mindset of empowerment and confidence that leads us to making choices that move us forward. We talk about using our voice to speak up on behalf of ourselves and other women, while lifting each other up through mentoring and coaching. We approach a broad, serious subject with positivity, hope, and a gentle humor. What obstacles do you think women still need to overcome? Share a comment!

Episode 248: We all have a story. Our lives are unique and we all need different things to thrive and survive. We also need to be sensitive to the individual needs of others. This week, I talked with Samyuktha Neeraja, State Associations Relations Manager II, American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA), about her journey through the world. Using a DEIA lens, she shares her story starting with her move to the United States from India as a baby, how her family assimilated into US living, her identity as a person from India, and how she navigates a world designed for the average person when she is a person with Dwarfism. Our candid discussion will open your eyes to the need to be sensitive to how others see the world, and by doing so, we will make the world a better place for all of us. Do you feel comfortable asking questions of people who are not like you? Share a comment!

If AI takes your job it very well might eat your lunch if you aren't aware of all aspects of its potential. We discuss the difference between AI and algorithms, why are chatbots so stupid, how to make AI a part of your team rather than considering it a threat, potential lower quality information with free v paid AI tools, and the 5 Paths of the Kirby and Davenport Framework.
