Sean talks this week with Dan from swgoh.gg, the premiere SWGoH web resource for number nerds. We cover Galactic Legends- the process of unlocking, the feeling you get when using them, their effectiveness in PvP, and lastly, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren’s dominance in the Sith Triumvirate Raid.

Hero battlers are a dime a dozen these days. What started over 4 years ago as a neat little game where players could create 5v5 battles in the Star Wars Universe has turned into an entire genre of mobile gaming, with a re-skinned version of that same game popping up every couple weeks or so.

Today we look at the latest contender, Disney’s Sorcerer’s Arena.

We’ve spent some time with it now, so we compare how DSA operates and compare and contrast that with Galaxy of Heroes.

We now have all three initial characters from The Mandalorian in-game. We talk about our first impressions of them, both the May the Fourth and Stay and Play celebrations, and some interesting counters as we bring back our Territory Mastery series.

This is the way.

This week we’re talking about the three new characters in Galaxy of Heroes from The Mandalorian: Cara Dune, Greef Karga, and The Mandalorian.

While Greef and Mando nothingnesses look great, Cara’s the only one we’ve gotten to really play around with so far and we’re… impressed!

After the slow release schedule of last few months, getting news that we’re getting content soon from The Mandalorian couldn’t be better! We chat about the three characters announced so far, how diversity has crept in to the meta, and debut John’s new single “Just Rey.”

In response to all the social distancing folks are doing to flatten the curve of COVID-19, Capital Games recently announced their participation in Stay and Play, an event to give people more to do while we’re all stuck inside. We have new packs (!), extra events, and Double Drops all headed our way over the next week. We talk about the good, the bad, and the overpriced.

It’s an interesting time to be podcasting about Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes. On one hand, a lot of people are working from home or not even working at all, so there is plenty of time to spend in the game. On the other hand, there is next to nothing to do in the game!

This week, we cover three sad tales – one of Sean’s failure to complete an event, one of the former GameChangers losing the very accounts they used to make their YouTube videos, and one of John turning his back on the toon he gave his heart to.

The new Galactic Legends, Rey and Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, have arrived!

…And we are not going to see them for ages. We tap about why, what the events are like (as far as we’ve heard), and what else we’ve been spending our resources on.

We’re really impressed with one of the newly revealed Galactic Legends! The other one… not as much. But we’ve got a great nickname for him: SLKR (Slicker)!

Now then… Glay? Rey? Which Rey? This Rey.

It seems we’re still working that one out.

Now that we know the full requirements for the upcoming Galactic Legends, we are confident saying…

“We’re doomed!”

How are your plans working out? Do you feel prepared?

Also: John just unlocked General Skywalker. We talk about that journey a bit and Skyguy’s overall dominance in Squad Arena lately.
