Radio Free Tatooine Network Feed

We’re joined by a very special guest: Nick Freeman of the Impact X Blog. This guy has been crunching the numbers so we don’t have to, and he lets us know what units are giving you the most bang for your buck. We all take a look at the upcoming Star Wars events at Comic Con, and give some updates on the Legion community.

(Nick’s blog can be found at www.legionimpact.com)

Looking to organize your offense in Territory Wars? This week’s show goes into why some teams are a better fit for Offense than they are for Defense and what teams beat what other teams. It’s time to organize those squads!

Matt is done with his timeout, so we let him on the mic to talk about the biggest release Legion has seen thus far: barricades. We also discuss the future of Legion and what dynamics can add variety and shake up the trooper-spam meta.

Grand Master Yoda was fun when was released, but that was years ago and the game has evolved so far since then. This new rework looks to make our little green friend relevant again in multiple game modes. Also, the final Solo: A Star Wars Story release brings us Range Trooper, a new Imperial Trooper with fur on his armor, giant boots on his feet, and enough tenacity to choke a gundark. Plus, PvE ship tables are a thing now. We talk about how we’ve fared on them and how the new energy will affect your daily 600.

It was discovered this week that George Lucas had a vision for the sequel trilogy that differed in some pretty big way from the sequels we’ve thus far received. We talk about what could have been had George run wild with his idea, plus address a certain Episode IX casting rumor that’s been sweeping the internet.

Here’s the beautiful shirt design we mention:

The guys recap our latest local tournament, John talks about a surprising MVP unit that has outperformed his expectations, and they break down the new FFG rules forum, and how that might shape the way we officiate competitive play.

(We apologize ahead of time, but there was an audio issue with Matt’s mic…it will be addressed before the next episode.)

There were no updates this week, so we’re focusing on two factions that are very near and dear to us: Resistance and First Order. As both factions have their uses in many different modes, we focus mainly on the PvP aspects of both squads.

We were out last week so we missed the big news about Kelly Marie Tran leaving Instagram. We touch on that point and offer our thoughts on the state of fandom. We also cover some exciting news form E3 regarding a new Star Wars game announcement and new content for BattleFront II.

Lando and L3 arrive this week to round out the Solo bunch, and we look at their kits and the new Lando’s Falcon, with all of its buff-copying goodness. Plus, Sean finally decoded what Darth Nihilus says at the start of the Sith Raid! (It’s the episode title.)

FFG brought out the big guns today! The guys break down the rules on the Rebel 1.4 FD Laser Cannon Team and the Imperial E-Web Heavy Blaster Team, talk about how to use them effectively, and debate which one is better. We also talk a bit about Kelly Marie Tran’s departure from Social Media and how to set up an Escalation League in your area.
