Radio Free Tatooine Network Feed

Call us crazy but we’re pretty stoked about this ewok faction pass! Okay you didn’t actually have to call us crazy…

We chat about the golden days of ewok-ing through Galactic War, what made the team tick, and what they really need out of this faction pass. And we speculate as to what the rumored 5th ewok could be.

Plus, the Ghost and Phantom II are now farmable. Are they worth it?

You have intercepted Transmission II of the Wraith Squadron Podcast, presented by Radio Free Tatooine. Rookie Pilots Doc Scott and K’jun Raze square off to bring X-Wing Miniatures content and tutorials to the new X-Wing community.

This week the guys break down the core sets and starter lists for each faction, x-wing vocabulary, and the Gamer’s Paradise Store Championship. To connect to the Wraith Squadron Podcast like and subscribe to the following social media sites. Also if you want to help WSP grow and get a chance at the first set of prizes in August, please consider supporting the show on Patreon.

Note: We did not do an adequate job talking about the differences in the damage decks between the Red and Blue core sets, we will clarify that up in Transmission III.

We ask the question.

With all the crazy reports we’ve been getting about the Han Solo film, we step back to  take a look at just what is really going on with this movie.

Plus: Looking for Leia is funded! Big thanks to all the fans who backed this amazing project on Kickstarter. We’re so excited to see it!

And of course, Guess Who’s Coming To Netflix. Bor Gullet. Bor Gullet is coming to Netflix.

Here’s John’s video recommendation. It’s really, really, really good.

With no real update to speak of this week, we decided to cover a couple interesting bits we’ve found on Reddit:

* First up: French Gamer Abroad posted the results of his recent Grand Admiral Thrawn poll and the results tell some interesting stories.

* Also: Redditor The_Stimulant did some work to calculate just what it takes to “break” Galactic War. We talk about his findings.

* And finally: We give our official Summer 2017 Guide to Good Characters for Beginners – toons you can get early on and continue to be useful in the later stages of the game.

Here’s where you go to back Looking For Leia! Do it.

As always, thanks for listening an MTFBWY!

We’re joined by the wonderful Annalise Ophelian this week to talk about her film project Looking For Leia. It’s on Kickstarter now and it’s closing soon, like Friday soon! Don’t miss your chance to be part of this incredible project! We also talk about the current state of female fandom, what it’s like doing crowdfunding, and (ugh) the Han Solo movie news.

We talk to our good friend and veteran podcaster Saf, who’s starting her own podcast network, the Not Saf For Work podcast network. She tells us what to expect out of it and how you can follow along.

The Meta sure isn’t moving this week, so we had to find other stuff to talk about!

We chat a lot about Grand Admiral Thrawn and how we think he’ll be able to impact the meta. We also go over best practices for selling off some of the Mods you’ve been hanging onto that you probably shouldn’t. (Hint: Critical Avoidance arrows have to go!)

Rookie Pilots Doc Scott and Kjun Raze explain the history of the Wraith Squadron name, present battle reports on Big Easy Comics’ Store Championship (Covington, LA) and what they expect to see at Gamer’s Paradise Store Championship (Baton Rouge, LA) this coming week. The duo also explain why they feel new players need to attend store tournaments.

We’re joined by two of the newest members of the Radio Free Tatooine family this week: Catrina Dennis and Doc Scott. Catrina is reviving her popular Star Wars comics podcast, Comics in the Cantina, but now it’s 100% more Radio Free Tatooinier! Doc is bringing us Wraith Squadron Podcast, a brand new podcast about the X-Wing Miniatures game geared toward newer players who want to improve their squadrons. Plus: EA Play gave us some pretty awesome Battlefront II footage this week and we talk about that and wolves.

Phoenix is no longer an option, it’s a way of life. We look at the good, the bad, and John’s situation with regards to the new Phoenix Flash Event and what it’s going to take to be ready for Thrawn. Plus, What’s up with this meta? There’s not a lot of movement, but we can still interpret the changes and what they’ll mean going forward.

This week, we talk about the tragedy that has hit Rancho Obi-Wan in the form of $200,000 worth of missing Star Wars memorabilia. It truly is a rotten thing to hear about. If you have any tips at all as to the whereabouts of any of this stuff, email [email protected] and of course check ranchoobiwan.org for updates as they develop.

A much happier story see us bobbing our heads along to YouTuber OverEnglishMan‘s new music video featuring none other than Luke Skywalker. Follow the link for the full video!

SWNN uncovered some tasty leaked photos from the upcoming Han Solo film which can be seen here. [PICTURES OF VACANT BUILDINGS AND SETS SPOILERS]

And of course Sean and John compose some very elegant sonnets. (They’re so cultured!) Make yours here with Ian Doescher’s neat new site!

As always, thanks for listening and MTFBWY!!!
