As part of their unit on architecture, G9 Design students paid a visit to the Hanoi Urban Planning centre next to the Hanoi Museum. Back on November 15, we (Thao, Thai, Yun, Jihye, and Yein from Grade 10) had our precious chance to have an interview with Natalia Perarita, whose specialty is in investigating the techniques of creating various types of products from discarded fashion materials. With our purpose of exploring ways to create products from old textiles, we decided to seek inspiration from her about her project and mottos.

That didn't stop us going on a virtual field trip to see Pham Duc (Dr Plastic) who presented and gave us a tour of his workshop online to our Design students. Here is the audio extract from that presentation which has many useful facts and figures that students could then use in their research project. This is a long show, so sit back and relax whilst we learn all about waste management and plastic recycling by a man passionate about the subject.
