For a rave mix of mine from 2013, this was a pretty good mix cause I sucked at mixing rave back then. I think this was a freestyle of stuff as I was still collecting rave records from japan at the time. Some of these rips I got from Aubrey. Some I bought on CD & Digital or downloaded elsewhere. Still didn't have turntables at this point or begin my collecting journey/nightmare. This was just for fun as seen by the title. I had this idea of a stupid pun I could use for a rave alias "Rave Mysterio" and then was trying to come up with a name and shot a glance at the Maharajah Night series of housey-ravey-dance compilations from the early 90s on Avex Trax in Japan and started typing Mahra then mashed some keys and laughed so hard when Mahrabbababa Night came out that I kept the title.

Background on Rave Mysterio: he only shows up when there is a title to be had and a 2 Unlimited to be played. He doesn't like pickles and people who leave during T99 songs, and also he wears a mask to signify a burning desire to huff gas out of a balloon.

Omen, Dorian Gray, Oz, Nexus, Störung, Skylab, Wabun und einige andere legendäre Tanztempel in denen tausende Menschen Anfang der Neunziger nächte- und tagelang ekstatisch zur wummernden Bassdrum einer völlig neuen Musikart zappelten, gibt es seit vielen Jahren nicht mehr.

TECHNO wurde diese neue Musik genannt und diese Musikrichtung bewegt nach wie vor ganz viele Menschen weltweit.

Natürlich klingt Techno heute anders als damals, auch wenn bis heute noch hier und dort der ein oder andere Technoklassiker zu hören ist.
