Summary:  Many people today think they have found a better way to find their happiness.  The difficulty is that they do not understand what choice they are making.  They imagine having found a better way to their happiness than God provides.  Did not Adam and Eve reason similarly?  We know what happened after eating from the forbidden tree.  A lived-in relationship without the sacrament of marriage lacks the strength and grace needed for life-long permanence.  What is left for either the man or woman to do if, in some later years, their boyfriend or girlfriend receives a better offer?  What are their children then to do without a father or mother in the home?  God has a plan for us.  We are blessed to receive it.
