This week on Radio Nasties we take a look at body horror master David Cronenberg's (They Fly/Videodrome) 1975 Shivers, also know as They came from within. A film about parasites that turn people into sex crazy maniacs. seriously Cronenberg? seriously?
This week we're continuing Vic's FEASTATHON with the incredibly accurately titled Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds. An epic tale of Mexican wrestlers, female bikers, flying baby's and melting Grandma's.
Today we step into The Void, a world of pure unimaginable terror and tentacles... lots of tentacles. Oh and triangles. Released in 2016 The Void is a Canadian horror film heavily inspired by the works of author H.P Lovecraft (The call of Cthulhu, At the mountains of madness.)This episode was voted by our Instagram followers, so make sure you're following us if you want to have your say on future episodes! @radionasties
Now for something completely different! Leaning more the cult side, we're looking at 1988 cult classic anime 'Akira' based on the manga of the same name, Akira follows a biker gang in a post WWIII Neo Tokyo. One of our bikers Tetsuo gets in to an accident and come out with world changing powers. only in Japan.
It's Vic's turn to pick the film this week's instalment of Radio Nasties and for once he hasn't picked something horribly bad! (it's not horribly good either.) This week we're looking at 2014 Australian slasher 'Charlies's farm' a film about a killer, called Charlie, on a farm staring horror heavyweights Kane Hodder (Jason Voorhees, Friday 13th) and Bill Mosley (Otis, The House Of 1000 Corpses & The Devils Rejects.)
It's also got Tara Reid in it unfortunately.
