  • Bellow & The Whale - January 31st, 2019
It’s a fairytale, probably not the one you would expect, but a tale none-the-less. They say the truth is far more interesting than the lie, you just have to be willing to hear it. The bellow + the whale is a chicago-based neo-soul folk and art duo that speaks a truth that can be hard to swallow at times, taste so sweet at others, and leave you feeling everything. Bianca Bernard Black and Julia Lee Norris are the bellow + the whale. Together they craft intricate harmonies, weave captivating melodies, and serenade the listener with tales of what it means to be human. Their lyrics speak of the human condition, of love and heartache, of doubt, of loss, and of change, taking you to a place that is equally familiar and fantastical, grounded and devoid of gravity, a roadmap of what it means to be unafraid of being afraid.
