Le Maroc a découvert trois cas suspects de variole du singe, pour la première fois dans le royaume, a annoncé lundi soir le ministère de la Santé. «Nous avons détecté trois cas suspects de variole du singe qui sont en bonne santé et sous surveillance médicale», a précisé le docteur Mouad Mrabet, le coordonnateur du Centre national des opérations d'urgence de santé publique. Dans une déclaration, Mouad Mrabet a souligné que les analyses médicales étaient en cours et que les résultats seront connus «prochainement». Il n'a indiqué ni les lieux de détection des cas suspects, ni l'identité des trois personnes. Le ministère de la Santé vient de publier un «plan de surveillance et de risposte» pour la détection et le traitement des cas de variole du singe et pour la protection sanitaire. More than 100 cases of the virus - which causes a rash and a fever - have been confirmed in Europe, the Americas and Australia. The Moroccan Health Ministry announced this evening it identified three suspected monkeypox cases in the country. All three patients are in good health and currently under medical surveillance, said the Coordinator of the National Center for Public Emergency Operations at the Ministry in a video statement issued this Monday. Up until this point, there are no confirmed cases in Morocco. The Ministry established an action plan to deal with the possible outbreak of the monkeypox virus, following the detection of dozens of cases across Europe.
