- Czech and World Champion rock climber Adam Ondra on going for Olympic gold in three ‘radically different’ disciplinesCzech professional rock climber Adam Ondra is the only male athlete in thesport to have won World Championship titles in the “lead climbing” and“bouldering” categories in a single year. At least according to a new study published by CERGE-EI, theEconomics Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences. It found thatdirectors of Czech schools have the highest administrative burden comparedto their counterparts in other EU countries. - Czech Radio building among new national cultural monuments sites symbolising the struggle for freedomAhead of the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution, the Ministry ofCulture will designate seven sites as ‘national cultural monuments’.All of them are tied to the Czech nation’s struggle to secure freedom orrid itself of Nazi or Soviet oppression.
