: The Sent Church: Understanding Your Role in the Great Commission (Matthew 28)

Is the church merely a building we visit, or are we a people in motion? In this message, we explore the biblical mandate for the local church as a "sent" community rather than a static destination. Far from being a social club with a missions department, the church exists because the Mission of God has a people. Drawing from the authority of Christ in Matthew | 28:18–20, we examine why our evangelism and disciple-making efforts rely entirely on the sovereign rule of Jesus, not our own relevance or cleverness.

We further unpack the "map" for the modern believer found in Acts | 1:8, discussing how the power of the Holy Spirit equips us to be witnesses—starting at our own kitchen tables and offices in our local "Jerusalem," and extending to the ends of the earth. This study serves as both a diagnosis of our current priorities and a call to return to our primary purpose. Whether you are seeking to understand the theology of mission or needing a challenge to live as a bold witness in your daily life, this teaching will equip you to stop "holding the fort" and start living as an outpost of the Kingdom.

We invite you to reflect on your own "Jerusalem." Are you actively making disciples, or have you allowed comfort to replace the Great Commission? Listen in as we rediscover what it means to be a sent people, empowered by the very presence of the King.
