    China, History and Discussion

    1st & 2nd Hours

1st full day with the new Jitsi platform. Will post log in instruction below if you're reading/hearing about this for the 1st time.

Had the core group on today and we all wanted Harvey to talk about his partial reading of the book on China written by a U.S. Ambassor, 2 times, to China. Title of that book is: Ways That Are Dark. It gives us a unique window into the Chinese culture before the Communist Revolution.

Talk about the Three Gorges Dam, which is in potential danger of breaching now.

Good show, we'll try to get it where we can use both Jitsi and Skype. Takes a few technical adjustments.

    INSTRUCTIONS FOR LISTENING OR JOINING

The new platform, jitsu will be easier for those who call in on phone lines and the show can now be joined seamlessly by simply pasting a URL into a browser tab. Chrome, Brave, Opera & Firefox we know work fine, or seem to at this point. There is also a phone app that works.

    Browser Connection Link: meet.jit.si/ppnstudio

    Phone Call In (2 steps):

    1. Call 512-647-1431

    2. PIN#: 268 607 7837

Cell App in 'app store'. Search 'jitsi', several come up but all go back to Jitsi Meet. You can join and participate this way also.

    When you've connected.

    1. PLEASE turn OFF the 'video' feature bottom/right MUTE button. The video feature uses too much extra bandwidth and affects the ongoing conversation.

    2. When you are not speaking 'PLEASE' try to keep your devices MUTE button on. Again, to cut background noise and help improve the fidelity of the ongoing conversation.

Law/History Discussion US v Minker Cite

    1st & 2nd Hours

Wanted to talk about a cite a friend sent recently. The cite was from 1795, Minker was in 1956. The cite was insightful as to government and it's limitations. Took it back to the 'silent 'generaltional' contract' of the Oath of Fealty.

Various shoots off that basic topic dominated the remainder of our session today.

US v Minker, 350 US 179 at 187(1956) Supreme Court of the United States 1795 "Inasmuch as every government is an artificial person, an abstraction, and a creature of the mind only, a government can interface only with other artificial persons. The imaginary, having neither actuality nor substance, is foreclosed from creating and attaining parity with the tangible. The legal manifestation of this is that no government, as well as any law, agency, aspect, court, etc. can concern itself with anything other than corporate, artificial persons and the contracts between them."
