She joined WXAN to talk about the Historic Thebes Courthouse, The Thebes Courthouse in Thebes, Illinois, is the former county courthouse of Alexander County. Plans to build the courthouse began in 1845, when the county seat was moved to Thebes from Unity. Today the Courthouse Hosts Memorial Day Events and has open hours on Sunday from 12:30 t0 3 pm.

Nikki Adams is the Health Center Director for Shawnee Health. She joined WXAN to talk about the new Wellness Clinic being constructed at Murphysboro Middle School. These on site Clinics are operating inside schools in Carbondale and Marion now, and this expansion at Murphysboro Middle Schools is expected to open this fall. The discussion covers all aspects of how the clinics work, how they communicate with parents, and why they are important to student success.

Dr. Jeff Ripperda joined WXAN to talk about the recent death of Kyle Busch, at the age of 41. Reportedly Busch died from complications from a pneumonia infection in his lungs that led to blood clots and sepsis. Dr. Ripperda discusses how rare it is for someone at 41 to die from pneumonia, and what could have prevented his death.

Billy Joel performed on the SIU Carbondale Campus in February of 1972. His performance was a part of a WSIU Television show called "The Session" produced by Bruce Scafe, who later went on to be the founding director of Austin City Limits. This is the story of that concert, told by the directors, and musicians who were there that night.
