David Luff has been Pastor of City Hope Church in Murphysboro since August of 2024. He visited with WXAN about his background in ministry, the challenges of pastoring a growing church, how his father being a Navy Chaplain shaped his ministry, his preferred translation of the Bible and more.

Nannette resides in Herrin with her three children, Kagney, Adam and Leryn. Nannette worked as the Advocate Supervisor for CASA from 2007-2011, then took a child welfare specialist position with a local child welfare service agency. There, she learned DCFS policies and procedures pertaining to placement cases and licensing policies. Nannette has a degree in paralegal studies and has worked in legal offices involving various types of law. Nannette was excited to return "home" in 2015 after being offered the Executive Director position. Together with Jennifer, Lisa, Joy, the Board of Directors and the amazing group of volunteer advocates, Nannette is excited to see their CASA program continue to grow and fulfill its mission.

Evan Youngblood, Secretary with Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois joined WXAN to talk about the Honor Flight set for May of 2025, how the flights are paid for and how Veterans are chosen to be a part of an Honor Flight.

Meteorologist Nick Hausen joined WXAN to preview the snow storm that is predicted to hit Southern Illinois Tuesday and Wednesday. 6-10 inches of snow is expected and temps near 0 degrees.

Brad Kloeppel is the Senior Director of Natural Gas Operations and technical services for Ameren Illinois. He joined WXAN to talk about the Natural Gas Storage Fields and how they benefit customers.
