This week we focus first on Alien 3, a 1992 science fiction thriller film directed by David Fincher and starring Sigourney Weaver, Charles Dance, Charles S. Dutton, Lance Henriksen, Paul McGann, Brian Glover, Ralph Brown and Danny Webb. A sequel to the 1986 film Aliens, the story has an escape pod from the Colonial Marine starship Sulaco crash-landing on a refinery/prison planet, killing everyone on board except Lieutenant Ellen Ripley. Soon after her arrival, an Alien is born in the prison and goes on a rampage, while Ripley later discovers there is also an Alien growing inside her. A 1997 science fiction action thriller film directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet and starring Sigourney Weaver, Winona Ryder, Ron Perlman, Dan Hedaya, J. E. Freeman, Brad Dourif and Michael Wincott. Written by Joss Whedon, the film deals with a clone of Ellen Ripley created on board the United Systems Military vessel Auriga some 200 years after the events of the previous instalment, so that the Xenomorph Queen that was gestating inside her at the time of her death can be surgically removed from her body. When the resultant Aliens escape their enclosures, the Ripley clone and a group of mercenaries attempt to escape and destroy the Auriga before it reaches its destination — Earth.

The Beating Drum is the Premier Native American radio show in America that is preserving positive Native American imagery in sports and mainstream, as Many communities across the country have been targeted by groups like Not Your Mascots, NAACP and may others to change the names and icons of their beloved sports teams, by falsely claiming these names and images are racist and derogatory towards Native Americans.
