The Beating Drum is the Premier Native American radio show in America that is preserving positive Native American imagery in sports and mainstream, as Many communities across the country have been targeted by groups like Not Your Mascots, NAACP and may others to change the names and icons of their beloved sports teams, by falsely claiming these names and images are racist and derogatory towards Native Americans.

It’s time we bring the fight to these groups, and help communities by educating them to the truth, as well as dispel the misinformation being presented to them. We can’t do this alone, so we are reaching out for your help. Call in and let your voice be heard. Educate, not eradicate! #NeverBackDown

In this first episode of Radio AFS' Straight out of Left field, Jack will first discuss whats to be expected from teams and individuals post All Star break, who's set for a breakout...and who's expected to freeze over? Can the Giants "remember winning" and can the Astros and Brewers sustain success?

Continuing the pilot episode will be a question of size - and how and why does Aaron Judge break the mold of a stereo typical hitter.

Finally, a philosophical question surrounding the All Star game has certainly gripped die hard baseball fans alike. Does this new format which facilitates fun and games over serious play have space in our National pastime?

To get in contact during, before or after the show please feel free to message me on Straight out of Left Field's facebook page or phone in on 646-668-8467! look forward to hearing from you!
