British Public Radio (www.britishpublicradio.com) have recently launched the inaugural British Public Radio Awards, staged in association with AudioBoo.
Russ Williams celebrates 20 years at One Golden Square this week. For a broadcaster to spend two decades at one commercial radio station is incredibly rare and it’s an achievement that is unlikely to be repeated. In this exclusive interview, Russ talks to Trevor Dann about his experiences over the past three decades in broadcasting, shares tales of some of the characters who have joined him along the way and discusses his hopes (and fears) for the future of radio.
Trevor Dann talks with RadioCentre CEO Andrew Harrison about RadioCentre.org and celebrating commercial radio's 40th birthday with the "Roll of Honour". He is later joined by eight-time Sony Award and double Bafta winning writer, comedian and broadcaster, Jon Holmes, where they chat about his various projects which include the XFM London Breakfast Show, Radio 4's The Now Show, his independent production company, Unusual, and inspiring Jocks at JockFest.co.uk on May 18/19 2013 at Alton Towers.
Trevor Dann is joined by radio consultant Paul Robinson, Made in Manchester director Ashley Byrne and Radio Today's managing editor, Roy Martin to discuss the Sony Radio Academy Awards 2013 Nominations.
Trevor Dann speaks to Paul "Goffy" Gough about TFM's move to Metro and in the second half of the programme he speaks to Billy Anderson, Chief Executive of TeamRock, about their new station.
