Today I am overflowing with joy, as I can freely share what I enjoy creating the most, this is my first time participating in the Hive Open Mic, this time with a cover of a legend of Venezuelan urban music, Mr. Ramses Meneses or Mcklopedia, he is a high reference of what I want to develop musically, this was the first song I learned from him, so I hope you enjoy the interpretation of "Cuando nada me quede".

For this cover I wanted to experiment a little with a new tool that I discovered thanks to my friends Ricardo and @youngmusician, it is the mobile app BandLab, a real wonder for those who do not have a professional recording equipment, there is a very good catalog of sounds, I am still learning to use it, but its interface is very intuitive, I leave you my sincere recommendation about this app, surely more than one here knows it, if so let me know what you think about it and if you have any information to share about it do not hesitate to do so.

My strategy was simple, I recorded the microphone of my headphones covered with a cloth to mitigate the noise, both my voice and that of the cuatro, each one in separate audio channels, I had to make several attempts to find a result that would please me, then I applied some effects in one of the channels of the cuatro and also in the second voices, as I'm crazy I dared to propose a percussion of maracas, you know the Latin touch is never missing, I did not want to master the matter so much in the end, but as I discover new ways to treat the sounds I will apply them.

Hoy estoy rebosante de alegría, ya que puedo compartir libremente lo que más disfruto crear, está es mi primera vez participando en el Hive Open Mic, esta vez con un cover de una leyenda de la música urbana venezolana, el señor Ramsés Meneses o Mcklopedia, es un alto referente de lo que quiero desarrollar a nivel musical, esta fue la primera canción que me aprendí de él, así que espero que disfruten de la interpretación de "Cuando nada me quede".

Para este cover quise experimentar un poco con una herramienta nueva que descubrí gracias mis amigos Ricardo y @youngmusician, se trata de la app móvil BandLab, una verdadera maravilla para quienes no contamos con un equipo profesional de grabación, hay un muy buen catálogo de sonidos, para tratarse de una app para teléfonos la calidad de los resultados que se pueden conseguir son muy altos, aún estoy aprendiendo a usarla, pero es muy intuitiva su interfaz, les dejo mi recomendación sincera sobre esta app de seguro más de una acá la conoce, si es así coméntame que opinas al respecto y si tienes alguna información que compartir al respecto no dudes en hacerlo.

Mi estrategia es fue simple, grabé el micrófono de mí auriculares cubiertos con una tela de paño para mitigar el ruido, tanto mi voz como la del cuatro, cada una en canales de audios separados tuve que hacer varios intentos para dar con un resultado que me agradará, luego aplique algunos efectos en uno de los canales del cuatro y también en las segundas voces, como ando alocado me atreví a proponer una percusión de maracas, ya saben el toque latino nunca falta, no quise masterizar tanto el asunto al final, pero conforme descubra nuevas formas de tratar los sonidos las iré aplicando.

That experience occurred with the interpretation of "Mujeres divinas" by Vicente Fernandez, a song that I will of course share in due time, but today I want to try to reach the emotions from the flavor of "Somos Algo" by -Daniel me estás matando- a band of Mexican artists very relevant in the Hispanic music scene today.

Esta vez aparezco con sonidos frescos y suaves de mi raíz latina, un bolero que me encanta interpretar y que hace poco pude interpretar en un micrófono abierto de mi localidad, es una pena que el resultado de la grabación no fuera de una calidad óptima como para compartir, aun así fue una noche muy genial entre amigos y gente muy genial, llena de arte poesía e incluso humor, hacía mucho que no entraba en mi elemento en una tarima, puedo decir que interpretar una canción y que la gente te coree otra al punto de no dejarte bajar de la tarima es una de las sensaciones más hermosas y memorables que tengo.

Esa experiencia ocurrió con la interpretación de "Mujeres divinas" del maestro Vicente Fernández, rola que claro que compartiré en su momento, pero hoy quiero intentar llegar a las emociones desde el sabor de "Somos Algo" de -Daniel me estás matando- una banda de artistas mexicanos muy relevantes en la escena musical hispana actualmente.

Ya que no pude compartirles parte de la experiencia micrófono abierto en video, pues acá les dejo una interpretación de una de mis canciones favoritas que cante esa noche, y bueno que la disfruten, siéntase libre de comentar lo que le venga en gana en la caja de comentarios y felices fiestas.

Recibí estas dos fotografías como referencia base, y plantee un estilo de caricatura clásica donde las exageraciones son amplias y acentuadas, pues este estilo parece encajar con la persona, aún trato de adaptarme a la herramienta nueva, pero aproveche para usar el celular y el stylus solo con la intención de medir el rendimiento de mi obra, por aquí algunos detalles del proceso.

I approached this from the sketch, but allowing the corrections to be spot work only from the beginning, such as the reduction I had to make to the character's complexion, as I felt it didn't go that way. While caricaturing a real person has some flexibility when it comes to being faithful to the details, capturing the most important ones is the real trick to ensure a good result, in this case I not only had to capture them, but also exaggerate those that define both his gestures and overall appearance.

Si bien caricaturizar una persona real tiene cierta flexibilidad a la hora de ser fiel a los detalles, capturar los más importantes es el verdadero truco para asegurar un buen resultado, en este caso no solo debía captúralos, sino también exagera a aquellos que definen tanto su gestualidad como el aspecto en general.

I decided to build everything on a single layer except for the background, but the character was referred to the pictorial, I used a fairly warm color palette following the reference, but still giving some cold spots to define a better contrast but quite subtle.

To close I applied a little of the use of the line but from the pictorial approach and congruent with the stained, that help to give definition and of course land the classic technique of the caricature, an outer outline along with some irregular shapes in the background to leave something of me there of course, this part served me to explore in depth the IBIS PAINT X application which surprised me with its variety of brushes, those abstract shapes in the background were made with these specific brushes that brings the app and that in convination gave that result quite fresh.

Para cerrar aplique un poco del uso de la línea pero desde el enfoque pictórico y congruente con el manchado, que ayuden a darle definición y desde luego aterrizar la técnica clásica de la caricatura, un delineado exterior junto con algunas formas irregulares en el fondo para dejar algo de mi allí claro que si, esta parte me sirvió de exploración a profundidad de la aplicación IBIS PAINT X la cual me sorprendió bastante su variedad de pinceles, esas formas abstractas en el fondo se hicieron con estos pinceles específicos que trae la app y que en convinacion dieron ese resultado bastante fresco.

Generally, I use Clip Studio Paint to illustrate, but recently I bought a new phone, specifically a Redmi Note 9 and I've been a little addicted, and before @not_here had shown me a very popular app to draw and paint from the phone, -IbisPaint X- and I see that several artists of the platform use it quite often, so I jumped on it, taking advantage of the moment I got a fairly simple and economical Stylus, to try the experience of illustrating from my phone more comfortably.

Generalmente, utilizo el Clip Studio Paint para ilustrar, pero hace poco compré un nuevo teléfono, específicamente un Redmi Note 9 y he estado algo viciado, ya de antes @not_here me había mostrado una app muy popular para dibujar y pintar desde el celular, -IbisPaint X- y pues veo que varios artistas de la plataforma la usan bastante seguido, así que me lance a ello, aprovechando el momento me hice con un Stylus bastante sencillo y económico, para probar la experiencia de ilustrar desde mi celular de manera más cómoda.

Ahí me tienen como niño en dulcería haciendo rayones y adaptándome a la app, en lo que revisando las herramientas que trae el celular, me encuentro con que trae una grabadora de pantalla, y no lo pensé dos veces y puse a grabar todo el proceso de una ilustración sencilla y rápida que salió de los rincones penumbrosos de mi creatividad, el resultado hasta me sorprendió, por lo que se los comparto, edite el vídeo con la versión gratuita del FilmoraGo en el mismo teléfono, por lo que termine saliéndome un poco de mi zona de confort, algo que me parece es necesario para crecer y aprender cosas nuevas.
