The Harz metre gauge railway network is quite extensive. The railway works its way through mountainous scenery and thick forests. The Brockbahn for Train Simulator Classic gives the player a chance to drive the iconic BR 99.23-24 class 2-10-2 locomotives from Wernigerode through to Drei Annen Horne, and then up the mountain on grades of 33% to the peak of the Brocken. This route faithfully recreates the route as it was in 2012.

This a preview of a 600mm railway built on a farm which has been heavily inspired by the Richmond Light Railway in the UK which is the same gauge. Practically the main loop, and spur are similar in principal, but not exact.

On a hot summers day, Bahamas, an London, Midlands and Scottish railways Jubilee class locomotive, hauls a private train through Kent's seaside towns. Here she is climbing the bank into Birchington to go on through to Margate and Ramsgate.

This type of locomotive down south is very rare, and wouldn't have happened if at all during the Steam era.
