Weather: A damp start with showers easing across the day. The CBD sits at 17°C now, climbing to 22°C. Parramatta and Bondi follow a similar pattern—wet early, improving later. Looking ahead to Saturday: mostly sunny with a top of 21°C.
Traffic: M4 Croydon (eastbound) — broken‑down truck; lane 1 of 3 closed. Slow down and merge early. M2 Baulkham Hills near Langdon Rd (westbound) — two‑car crash; lane 1 of 2 closed with heavy traffic. Give way to emergency services. M4 St Clair (westbound past Mamre Rd on‑ramp) — car with a trailer in the breakdown lane; 60 km/h reduced speed zone. Allow extra time.
Trains: Blue Mountains Line maintenance (final day). Buses replace trains between Lithgow and Mount Victoria. Services from Mount Victoria to Central run to a changed timetable, and Bathurst services are altered.
