It's a bitesize, bonus episode this week as we round off the news over the last week in cricket.
As we explain at the top of the podcast, we started off this podcast as our Hundred preview, but it quickly descended into a much longer news segment once we started talking about the County Championship's bizarre points system.
So, consider this a bonus episode and our full Hundred preview will be out on Monday! Today, we cover England vs Pakistan, England Women vs India Women, the end of the first stage of the County Championship and plenty of other news from the week. Enjoy!

There's been too much going on to give this episode and, as you can see in the title, we're covering a lot this week.
Join Glenn, Dan and Zac as they wade through the county cricket news including Jimmy's 1000th wicket, Bess' 7-fer, Sibley's duck and Amla's mammoth 250 ball innings for Surrey. There's time for an update from the Blast as well as from the England Women's series vs India.
Then, we ask was England vs Sri Lanka the worst white ball series ever? And with that whole squad now in Covid isolation, we try and make a starting XI out of the 18 new faces to play Pakistan this week. Enjoy!

It’s our fiftieth podcast! A massive thank you to all of our regular listeners and welcome to those who are new to Rain Stopped Play.
This week, after debating whether the England vs Sri Lanka limited overs tour is worth anyone’s time and catching up on the T20 Blast, the RSP team get stuck into the sensational World Test Championship Final between India and New Zealand.
Despite rain affecting the match, New Zealand managed to force a thrilling win on the sixth and final day. We wax lyrical about the immensely likable New Zealand team and assess what went wrong for India; is anyone’s place in the team in jeopardy?

Join Dan and Will for an emergency World Test Championship Final preview podcast.
Before we get on to the two teams, we have a quick chat about the WTC as a whole. Is it worth our time? Is it the best format Test cricket can produce? How do you share a trophy?
We also fully preview both India and New Zealand sides and, in true RSP style, Dan and Will mostly agree on the 22 men we'll see face off this week. Enjoy!

Join Glenn, Zac, and Tim as they review New Zealand’s outstanding Test series victory in England.
After rounding up an exciting start to the T20 Vitality Blast season, the Rain Stopped Play team attempt to work out what exactly went so wrong for the hosts as they crumbled to their first series defeat on home soil since 2014.
With England’s youthful batting line up misfiring, what changes should the selectors make for the upcoming India series? After a difficult series, when will James Bracey next play for England? Finally, we revisit an age-old question: should Ben Stokes bat at three? Join us to find out!

Join Dan, Glenn, and Tim as they assess the first Test match between England and New Zealand.
Unfortunately, events off the field overshadowed the cricket played at Lords as historical racist and sexist tweets posted by debutant Ollie Robinson emerged during the first day’s play. The Rain Stopped Play team discusses what the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) can and should do to tackle racism within the game, and what consequences Robinson might face for his actions.
On the pitch, England caused controversy by opting to bat for a draw after a seemingly generous declaration by New Zealand gave them 273 to chase in the final innings. Should England have attacked more? Why does England’s middle order look so brittle? Finally, does anyone care about over rates? Listen in and find out!

Join Dan, Glenn, and Zac for a preview of England’s exciting Test series against New Zealand.
After discussing how Zac was sledged by a 14 year old wicketkeeper at the weekend (Zac silenced his young critic with a masterful 8* from 39 deliveries) and celebrating Glenn’s Fantasy Premier League triumph, the Rain Stopped Play team gets stuck into England’s selection issues for the upcoming two Test series.
Who should open? Who should bowl? Is Colin de Grandhomme making medium pace fashionable again? Join us and find out!

Join Dan, Zac, Glenn, and Tim for a lively round-up of the 2021 County Championship.
After discussing England’s squad for the upcoming New Zealand Test series and its potential impact on domestic teams, the Rain Stopped Play team approach their analysis by selecting a stand-out fixture from each round of games played so far. Dan surprises everyone by unleashing a torrent of hate against Craig Overton, while Glenn is laughed out of the podcast after floating the idea of Adam Lyth returning to international duty.
As always, the podcast concludes with everyone making their (inevitably wrong) final group standing predictions. Enjoy!

We're a bit late to the party, but this week Dan and Zac react to the indefinite suspension of IPL 2021.
After diving into the issues that caused this suspension, the lads get stuck into the cricket that was played up until Monday's announcement. We cover Moeen's madness in anything but an England shirt, Pollard's pinch hitting and Warner woes as SRH's former captain. We also take a quick look at round 4 of the County Championship and Zac tells us about how he still can't play the short ball. Enjoy!

This week its another IPL episode and - for some reason - there was a lot of anger to be shared between Dan, Will and Zac.
This week in the IPL we look at CSK's success, SRH's miserable failure and ask whether the IPL should go ahead at all amid India's Covid crisis. All this, plus Zac has a story about a bus driver, Will's flag is droopier than ever and Dan gets something right for once.
