If you have a child, pass them the baton. Don't make them start alone, from the beginning. Provide them with great values, life lessons, and wisdom. Give them the best handoff for their adult life. Being an example is a great start, but providing them with the tools and the know how to use them will prepare them the build the life of success. 

According to an average lifespan, we spend less than 20% as a child. The rest of those years are spent in adulthood.
