One of the best ways to get a child language access and curriculum access in the classroom is through using an FM system, or mini mic.
However, what do you do if the teacher isn’t using it in the classroom?
Today we’re discussing practical strategies to communicate with the teacher and to get the whole IEP team involved to make sure your child gets the support that they need.

Have you ever been out and about with your kids, and you get an unexpected passive aggressive comment about their hearing loss?
Does it come out of the blue and shake up your whole day?
Unfortunately this happens a lot to us, and it happens in subtle ways and also outright.
We’re never prepared for it, and it ruffles our feathers.
Today we’re going to talk about how to process through those negative comments and hopefully come to an agreement of education and understanding. Let’s discuss!

You’re working with your IEP team, but you realize that your child doesn’t have enough language to communicate effectively with their teachers.
And you start to wonder, how is your child going to communicate in school without you all day?
This is a common problem of kids with hearing loss who are in preschool or Kindergarten.
Let me assure you that there is a way to start teaching your child independence in the classroom and have them communicate with their teachers.
I used this method with my preschooler and it was so effective that his speech even picked up as well! Listen in as we discuss all about how to maximize communication in the classroom with your child!
