Are you just starting out in business or maybe even just thinking of starting a business?
If you said yes, this episode is just for you.
Lately, I’ve been thinking about how much my business has changed over the years, how far I’ve come, and how much I’ve learned. I really believe that if you’re willing to commit and put in the work, you can build a sustainable business that works for you and the life you want to live.
I also believe that, unfortunately, a lot of the advice you’ll find online just doesn’t tell the whole story.
In this episode of Raising Loveliness, I am sharing the mistakes I’ve made, what I’ve learned along the way, and what I would do differently if I was just starting out.
In This Episode We Discuss:
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in business is that you’re going to learn so much more by taking action. Additionally, I’ve really come to believe that the biggest difference between those who succeed in business and those who don’t, is that those who succeed stick with it.
Above all, remember to always give yourself grace and patience. Good things don’t happen overnight. They take time.
I’m hoping these ideas are giving you something to start with and know that in future episodes I can give you even more support in building a business that works for you and the life you want to live.
And if you’re listening and thinking you’d really love some extra support in building a sustainable business that makes a difference and helps you live the life you want to live, visit raisingloveliness.com/together to learn more about how my amazing team and I can support you.

Do you have the right kind of support in your business?
How do you even find support that not only aligns with your business but also your personality and lifestyle?
In this episode, I'm talking with Dawn Marcotte all about the importance of having support in your business and how to find the right support for you. Dawn is the founder of DM Consulting, LLC, a firm dedicated to making the world better by helping women entrepreneurs.
Dawn is an author, a speaker, a mom, and a marathon runner. Her changing passions have led to her publishing books on topics ranging from parenting, to weight loss, to entrepreneurship, always with a focus on providing actionable information on complex issues. Dawn loves to share practical business advice in her Facebook group and when she isn't writing, she spends time in one of her gardens, reading all things mystery, and training for her next marathon.
Even if you are a one-woman show or consider yourself a solopreneur, I truly believe that you can achieve more and often with less stress and more ease when you have support along the way.
In This Episode We Discuss:
I love that Dawn has made it her mission to represent the voices of different types of people in different walks of life.
I learned so much from this conversation and so many things that Dawn shares really resonate with me as advice I wish I had years ago when I started out, and I can't wait to hear what you takeaway from this episode!
If you’re listening to this podcast, I know you care about your kids.
So I’m guessing there are moments, days, or periods of time when you’re feeling a little overwhelmed, a little out of your element, or you’re getting caught up with fears and concerns.
Sound familiar?
My hope with this episode is that no matter what’s going on in your life, something I share here today will be exactly what you need to hear to feel a little better, to find a little hope or encouragement, and to remember that you’re not alone in this incredible journey of motherhood.
I’m here to reassure you that you are doing your best in this moment. We all need to give ourselves a little grace.
Listen in as I share 5 things to remember whenever you’re feeling overwhelmed, burning out, or are doubting yourself as a mom…
Listen to to episode 2 to learn:
Parenting isn’t a one-size-fits-all situation. We have to learn what works for each child.
So when you need help, whether it’s help for you or help for your child, remember that it’s not all on you. If you or your child is struggling, take a look at what you need and be willing to seek out support.
I really believe that you’re not “failing” as a mom if you need extra help and that, in fact, being willing to seek extra support either for yourself or your child makes you a better mom because you’re trying to do the best to support your child/children.
And in the end - I think that’s what matters most. It really doesn’t matter what any other mom is doing or how any other child is doing in comparison to my children or our family. All that matters is that I’m doing my best to support and care for my kids and that they know they are loved.
So the next decision you have to make with your child/children, remember that you are the expert on your child. You’re making decisions with love and with the information you have right now. You’re doing better than you think you are and you’ve got this.
I’m so excited and grateful that you are here.
Raising Loveliness is a concept I’ve nurtured in different ways over the years. The original idea behind Raising Loveliness is to help moms bring out the best in ourselves and our children, because I believe that as more of us love ourselves and create lives we love, the more loving we can be towards one another – and together, ever so gradually, we can cultivate a kinder, more compassionate world.
I believe in the power and beauty of community – of coming together to find some common ground, of sharing our stories, and cheering each other on through our challenges and our victories.
And so, that brings us to Raising Loveliness: The Podcast.
Listen to episode 1 as I talk about:
