What’s up everyone! Welcome to Episode 03 of The Raj Mahal Show. On this episode -I chat with one of my homies and mentor, Vinay Ramesh. Vinay grew up here in the Bay area and we actually met through my cousins Samarth and Sruthi last September at their wedding. Vinay is UC Berkley grad who co-founded a campus news-alert company called Wildfire while in college, and recently sold the company to OpenDoor, an online digital real estate company based here in SF. We talk about his journey as an entrepreneur, hear about the acquisition process, and lastly we chat about our shared experiences in our Indian heritage and culture and what he’s doing to give back to the community,

I did want to take a brief moment and reflect on a recent tragedy that affects our whole community. On October 6th, it was confirmed that the California family, Amandeep Singh, Jasleen Kaur, Jasdeep Singh, and their beautiful 8 month old daughter Aroohi Dheri were found murdered. A devestating loss to all eveyone who knew them, and everyone within the South Asian community, the greater California community. My thoughts and prayers with their family and loved ones, and I ask you all to please keep them all in your thoughts and prayers. 

A GoFundMe was started in their honor to aid the Dheri family, I encourage everyone to donate if you can and help this loving family find justice and peace. Narayana- Thank you everyone!

Hey everyone- My podcast is now live! After a few long weeks (and many years of procrastination), The Rajmahal Show is now airing on Apple Podcasts (Spotify coming soon).

Like this blog, I have been wanting to do this podcast for a while and my inspiration came from another popular podcast, That Desi Spark (formerly known as The Woke Desi), which was started by three inspiring influences who created a open forum for dual-identity, South Asian Millennials. Additionally,I am a frequent listener of both Draymond Green and J.J. Redick’s podcasts, where they both give insight on life in the NBA and discuss with current and former players.

My aspiration is to create a platform where I can share my unique experiences as a “non-standard” South Asian male, and discuss with other “non-standard” entrepreneurs, athletes, CEO, artists and others who are changing the game and are disruptors in their paths to success.
