Rakhat is from Kyrgyzstan, she has a child with cerebral palsy. now lives in the UK and talks about the long wait for diagnosis. Rakhat visited Kyrgyzstan and got a diagnosis in 2 months, but the UK authorities would not accept the diagnosis. This resulted in her child not receiving the early intervention he needed. Rakhat now travels to other countries to get the therapy her child needs, because of waiting lists and lack of interventions in the UK .
