In his second year with Flyers, Ethan Bloodworth is another Carleton CUT alumni who was raised in the Triangle. Known for his impressive athleticism, aggressive defensive pressure and unwavering competitiveness, "E-Blood" and I talk about last year's championship run, the Flyer's regular season highlights and who on the Flyers "isn't trash" (hint - it's a short list.). Although this interview is before the Flyer's final regular season win back in July, there's still plenty of funny moments and surprising revelations that help build excitement for the upcoming 2022 AUDL post-season!

Charlie McCutcheon is a rookie on the Flyers but is no stranger to professional ultimate. Originally from Poughkeepsie, New York, McCutcheon started playing ultimate during his undergrad at the University of Delaware, before playing with the University of Minnesota Gray Duck during the 2016-17 school year while pursuing his PhD in Chemical Engineering. Before he left Delaware, Charlie won a Major League Ultimate (MLU) Championship in 2016 with the Philadelphia Spinners, and was named the Championship Game MVP in their win over the Portland Stags, the year before the MLU folded. While pursuing his doctorate in Minnesota, he played with the Minnesota Wind Chill (2017, 2018 and 2021) as well as local nationals-contender Minnesota Sub Zero. 

Now based in Virginia, Dr. McCutcheon is a travel player for the Carolina Flyers and looks to bring his intense defensive style to the Carolina D-Line. On the pod we talk about the different systems and communities among all the different areas he's played, how he came to play for the Flyers, what his favorite game with the team has been so far, what it was like to win the MLU Championship Game MVP and much more! Definitely not an interview to miss as the Flyers look to wrap up their 2022 regular season in style!

From college teammates on North Carolina State to now teammates on the Carolina Flyers, 2nd year Flyer Trevor Lynch and Flyers Rookie Dylan Hawkins sit down to talk about all things ultimate. After a breakout season on the D-Line last year, Trevor has been playing more O-Line in 2022, showcasing his immaculate lay-out form and arsenal of throwing skill. Meanwhile, Dylan has played a mix of offense and defense in his first year, exhibiting his chemistry with rookies and veterans alike and what Trevor calls his "Clutch gene". With about 2/3 of the regular season finished, we discuss their background in ultimate, their favorite games from their rookie seasons, who they expect to play in the South Division Playoffs and of course dish out some hot takes for the rest of the season.

IT'S FINALLY HERE!! Today to talk all things Championship Weekend we have on Jenny Wei of the Raleigh Radiance. We discuss our 5-1 Regular season, talk through the major storylines for championship weekend and share some hot takes for ultimate overall. J-Wei is originally from China, before moving to the states at a young age. Shockingly, Jenny started playing ultimate her first year of college at the University of Chapel Hill, who she played for for five years including leading them to college nationals in her 5th year. She has played for the Raleigh Radiance in every season of its existence.

This week on the pod we talk to an import to the Triangle Area - Seth Weaver. Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, after graduating from Goshen University, Seth moved to the Triangle to attend Duke University to pursue PhD in Genetics and Genomics. Although he didn't play college ultimate at Goshen, Seth was a 4-TIME High State Ultimate State Champion, before playing for the Chicago Wildfire (now the Union) in 2019 and the Chicago Club powerhouse Machine in their run to the 2019 club nationals championship game. Since moving to the area, Seth has played for both the Carolina Flyers and Raleigh Ring of Fire in 2021 where both teams won respective championships. On the field, he's a handler defender who's job is to make sure the other teams handlers "have NO fun".

Elijah Long started playing ultimate at Chapel Hill High School, before playing for the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill Darkside from 2015-2021, including winning college championship with the program in 2017 and 2021. An incredibly creative thrower who played a mix of D-Line and O-Line in his rookie season with the Carolina Flyers in 2021, Elijah and I talk about his love of pancakes, his breakdown of the no-look scoober he threw in the AUDL Championship Weekend, his analysis of the new crop of Flyers for 2022, and much more.
