We understand from our passage today that Biblical, Godly love does not rejoice in injustice happening to others  or justice being denied others.

We often keep a record of how we have been wronged by others. We learn from God’s Word today that to love the way God has loved us we must learn not to keep a record of wrongs we have suffered from others.

The things that Biblical love should not do are the same things that we as Christians should not do. We learn from God’s Word today that we as loving Christians should not be easily provoked!

As we examine God’s Word this morning, we see that as loving Christians we are not to seek after our own interests first but rather we are to seek after the interests of God and His people first.

Turning to understand the fourth don’t of love, we come to realize that as Christians if we are going to love we then are not to behave in a way that is unbecoming of a Christian. In other words, if  we are acting in a loving way we will not behave shamefully or disgracefully!

As we walk through the things that Biblical love does not do we come to understand that love is not arrogant. This understanding leads us to reflect on the truth that we as Christians are not to think too highly of ourselves.
