Nick and Rob catch up after a somewhat quiet summer in Knicks Nation. Aside from the obvious, i.e., RJ's extension, the Brunson acquisition, and Randle's troubles, not much has come out of New York's camp. With preseason upon us, it was time to kick things back into gear.

Happy 4th of July to everyone, and like the fireworks this weekend, I'm hoping free agency ends with a bang the next couple of days.

In the wake of the Jalen Brunson signing, Isaiah Hartenstein and Mitchell Robinson got some checks written up for them as well, and the Knicks are on the way to (hopefully) showing signs of life to start next season. Meanwhile, the Nets collapse and Knicks fans are relishing in that experience.

Following a draft night trade that would see us sending out our 11th overall pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder, calamity struck and the fanbase almost turned on the front office (for the millionth time in a row). But not everyone was ready to give up. With cap space cleared, the Knicks' pursuit of Jalen Brunson looked all the more certain, and so it seems we may have a Brunson Burner in our possession soon enough. I discussed a little more than that, too!

What a (painful) ride this season was. Creating content about the team felt debilitating down the stretch, but I'm back with a recap of some of the bright spots ahead of a long offseason.

The Knicks took everyone by surprise with the Kemba Walker signing, but they knew what they were doing.

Ridding the team of the toxicity at point guard and building on an otherwise lacking backcourt group makes for a healthier offense and a better environment for the staples of the franchise.

They're so close to becoming a contender and not looking back for years to come.

Summer League has been a show, and Obi Toppin the star of it. Meanwhile, the rookies continue to show out in their own ways while Immanuel Quickley battles the "not a point guard" narrative.
