This is a poem I wrote when I was grappling with trying to comprehend God's great Love, I gave up.
God's Love is not something to be rationalized or given human motives. It is boundless, limitless, greater than our mind can comprehend. What I need to know most is that He loves me, so much so that he died in my place on the cross and paid for sins that were not his own. I do not fully grasp it all, but knowing what little I do I rejoice and take it for myself and I thank him for his sacrifice of himself for me. His perfect love offering given on behalf of a sinner not worthy of Him. The definition of perfect love? Jesus.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whosoever believes in him, should not perish, but will have everlasting life." Jhon 3 :16
"For God so loved (your name), that he gave his only son, that if (your name) believes in him, (your name) should not perish, but (your name) will have everlasting life." Jhon 3 :16
