The Rams’ defense is a pretty big question mark going into 2024. Aaron Donald is retired. Raheem Morris is the head coach of the Falcons. Eric Henderson is at USC and is no longer coaching the defensive line. Giff Smith is now coaching the defensive line after spending two seasons with the Chargers as their outside linebackers coach (similar to Brandon Staley when he was in Denver, under Fangio). He was also their interim coach for part of last season after Brandon Staley was hired, so he was highly regarded in the Chargers’ building. Shula had previously coached inside linebackers, but that role will now be taken over by Greg Williams. How will Chris Shula implement everything he's learned since being in the building and apply it to the Rams' 2024-2025 defense? By combining methodologies and creating something that's consistently unpredictable.
