Just OK
If I were you I would choose to spend my money on another selection more wisely than I did.The book wasn't bad enough to rate a one or two star review. I believe anyone's attempt at writing is an accomplishment no matter what the outcome and since the effort was made regardless of my feelings I gave it a three star rating. It's more than I could ever have accomplished so bravo for that.
The story was predictable to say the least So I believe I am giving nothing away since you have to be a simpleton not to guess what's going on to begin with.
The story itself:
Gray's problem and self esteme should have been dealt with in more depth I think it was glossed over even though it ends well.
I would have liked more in the story regarding Holly and Brandon's relationship it was a subject addressed and dropped.
I didn't like the way the children were exposed to their mothers death, nor did I like the fact that they suffered coping with it. This was a downer and soured me on the story from the get go. I tune in to fiction romance novels to lose myself in the pleasant subjects.
Sorry, it just didn't click with me and about halfway through I still expected it to pick up and when it didn't I started reading only the dialogue and gave up on everything else. I even skipped to the end to see how it ended knowing that I had it pegged my curiosity just got the best of me. I read it in one sitting not cause it was great but because I wanted to move on to the next book.
I feel bad being this tough on the book but I rely on reviews heavily for what I read so I'm brutily honest. I hope for the authors sake you all enjoy it and think I'm wrong. Enjoy
