    My Review:
I was smiling and smirking as I read as I am just adoring this series by Lia Riley; it has a little of everything, clever wit and humor, a cautious romance of former nemesis, family drama, small-town rivalries, gossiping biddies, corruption, a dash of steam, a devious and villainous old crone crime boss, politics, a legend of lost treasure, a princess, a seer, a troubled child, and scandal. I was engaged and entertained throughout by Ms. Rileyâs smart and amusing observations, descriptive and nimble writing style, and complex and endearingly flawed characters. I am looking forward to a return to Everland, Georgia.
    Major sparks!
The Corner of Forever and Always is the second in Lia Riley's Everland series but my first book by this author. I never felt lost of confused by starting with the second book though and the focus stayed on the main characters, Tuesday and Beau. These characters easily drew me into their relationship with their banter and sexual tension. It was fun to sit back and enjoy their interactions.
Tuesday was a bit of a free spirit and she was overall a super nice and genuine person. Sometimes she could come off as a little uncaring but as I read on it was clear that wasn't the case at all. I thought her personality mixed really well with Beau's more straight-laced one and it caused them to have major sparks flying through these pages.
This book had everything I could want in a Contemporary read, the sweetness, the fun loving characters, and the overall happy feeling of the story. It may have been my first book from this author but I won't let it be the last.

Humorous, Heartwarming, Rebound Romance that works
Left at the altar by the groom finds a jilted bride plotting to get a bit of her own back with the her former fianceâs best friend. All sorts of bridal and family drama ensues, but above all there was a light and heartwarming romance that rose up from it all.
    Review
Here Comes the Bride is the third book in the Chapel of Love series. Itâs connected with earlier books through setting and a large cast of returning characters, but it easily can read as a standalone.
So, yes, lovely Laurie Wilson plans to wed her college sweetheart after ten years from first date until now in the most gorgeous dream wedding her organizational habits and lists could make it. Only, Brandon backs out right at the altar. Not cool, dude! Seriously?!? At. The. Altar. Then tosses out there that they should both live a little before chaining themselves to each other. And then, the handsome, suave, and oh-so put together knight in shining Brooks Brothers suit steps in to clean up the mess. I adored Andrew in his story (and this was a shocker since I wasnât all that impressed with him in his sisterâs story). He truly shone through like polished gold in this one.
The story was fun and lightly engaging, but it wasnât without its issues for me. I loved the romance pair together, but I only moderately liked the situation for this romance. A rebound romance with all the fake dates, manipulating, both pairs of exes, interfering family on both sides, and even the final build up left me wanting to see a bit more down time and relationship building. They were great friends and there were indicators that they were a superb fit, but I felt their whole romance was happening under duress. Though, that dance club scene was convincing as to the electric attraction born between them.
The side plot with the playboy cousin of the hero, Matt, and Courtney, the wedding coordinator and new friend, was maybe meant to be funny and definitely was setting up for a future story, but it was only funny for a short time. Their separate issues, particularly Courtneyâs got old. Courtney has these over the top manhater issues and Matt was the opposite with his rakish casual seductions and affairs.
Another distraction, though I confess a welcome one, were those over the invasive and hilarious Lyndons.

    Great Contemporary Romance
I was taken aback with the first chapter and how the book started. I was hoping he was not a total looser! Glad to see that not all is what it seems and things developed at a good pace and the characters are well developed and very likable.
Narration was well done and brought the story to life.
The story is very touching and emotional. Larissa is a cancer survivor that has gone through a lot. Quinn is a wealthy divorced workaholic that has always put work above everything and everyone else.
I loved the ups and downs and how the story develops. It was a very heartfelt story that deeply moves you. The conclusion does wrap up with a HEA which is a must for me. Im looking forward to reading/listening to more books by this talented author.

    A Powerful Story!
What made the experience of listening to Happy Endings the most enjoyable?
The one word that comes to mind is WOW this book had steam, heartache, love, misunderstandings all mixed into a story done by a gifted narrator Chad C. Martin
What other book might you compare Happy Endings to and why?
I believe Zack's Ranch by Becky Baker both took on different but difficult situations.
Have you listened to any of Chad C. Martins other performances before? How does this one compare?
No this is the first one
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When she found the lump knowing as the listener that the odds were not in her favor.
    Any additional comments?
A powerful story. It was a book that you can become totally lost in feeling all the emotions that these characters did. It was a book that showed the best and worse parts of the human psyche. I loved it! My recommendation is to get this book and or audio you will not regret it.
    An emotional, touching story
I wasn't sure what to expect when I found out the story was about a cancer survivor and a workaholic, but Larissa and Quinn's story tugged at my heartstrings. Chantel Rhondeau's writing and Chad Martin's narration were the perfect combination.

He was a monster. An egotistical, smarmy, father-stealing bastard, and she would never forgive him for what he had done to her and her family - such as it was.
Stevie Coolidge's hatred of Trent Lazenby was the white-hot anger of a daughter scorned. He had lured her father - who meant even more to her since she had lost her mother - away from her, by being all accomplished and perfect and gorgeous.
Well, anyway. He was probably a fraud or a crook or a gigolo.
For Trent, there was only one woman in the world for him - the one who hated him the most, his mentor's daughter, Stevie. Spoiled, self-centered brat that she was, only she would do for him. Good thing he enjoyed a challenge, and taming her to his hand was going to be a big one.
    Members Reviews:
    Strong alpha male
A quick listen, Trent, the alpha male gives us a fast paced story of love and discipline. Stevie has been Trent's unknown love interest for years. When the opportunity and circumstances arise that give Trent the chance to make his move, he pounces and does his best to convince Stevie they should be together. There is much controversy, things unknown and relationship issues between each other as well as that of Stevie and her father that need to be learned and resolved. The time between Stevie and Trent is intriguing and hot while they learn about each other, but there are also times that Trent feels the need to correct Stevie. I don't think I would classify this as BDSM relationship, more disciplinary and Stevie seems to get herself in situations that create a hard spanking! It definitely is entertaining, and enjoyable for my first Carolyn Faulkner book.
Ward Thomas gives a good performance. At times, I wished he was a little more forceful as Trent, and his voices were a little more distinctive between characters, but his voice is well paced and soothing.
    Good story
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I received this book for an honest review; I enjoyed the story very much. It was slow in the beginning but picked up. Thanks for a good listen!!!!
    Opposites Attract
Stevie does not like Trent at all, which is why they are an unlikely couple to get together. Yet Trent breaks her down and they do get together. At times, although I think it was supposed to be, the relationship felt forced. I was torn between liking them as a couple and hoping they would go their separate ways. Trent did not seem like a strong Dom to me, which made Stevie a very poor sub. It was a good story and did keep you interested, I was just not thrilled with the relationship.
Ward Thomas was easy to listen to. He spoke clearly and at the right pace to understand the story. He narrated with different voices for each character, but at times they were too similar for me to immediately know who was talking. I did enjoy listening to the book.

    Talking Dirty with the Player
Talking Dirty with the Player is a brotherâs best friend, second chance romance. Eight years ago, Caleb took Judeâs virginity, then promptly dumped her. Sheâs never gotten over it, and he knows he was an idiot. Now, Caleb needs to hire Jude to shoot the photos for his charity calendar. After a few rough meetings, the two are right back where they started, but now they have a different set of problems than they did as teens.
Second chance romances are tricky, because the characters already know each other, so itâs easy to skip over the relationship development. Sadly, this is the case in Talking Dirty with the Player. They go straight from reuniting to her thinking heâs changed and him suddenly wanting to make it work more with her than he wants this new job. Immediately after that theyâre fighting, because a reporter jumps at them while theyâre out and Jude doesnât like that. She says it happens every time they go out, but that was the only time they were in public together, so it seemed like part of the story had been cut. Of course, they get back together, but then they have the same fight again!
Talking Dirty with the Player just didnât work out for me. I didnât feel like I got know each character, and I certainly never got to know them as a couple. They spend most of the book fighting or finding reasons not to be together rather than just being together. It was disappointing.
Brother's bFF falls for little sister
This book is dual POV, yet also has secondary character s 'pov' also.. these are stand one series, yet you get to capture each character in the next books!! .. there is major ALPHA MALE going on... sometime too much for their own good!! Cal aka Caleb grew up wanting to be a doctor due.to watching his mother pass away from cancer... his father would watch his games, rugby, and he was good ( ended up going pro) however; breaking the heart of one girl he cared for more than anything .. yet didn't think he was good enough. His best friend, Joseph's sister....

San Francisco, 1971: hippies in the streets, music and revolution in the air. The evening Marek Sumner opened his door to the wild-looking Felicity Powers, he knew nothing would ever be the same again. But even love and passion couldn't keep them together.
Forty-three years later, having lived in the world's most dangerous places as a foreign aid worker, Felicity is back, still offering him love, passion, and adventure. But why would Marek risk having his heart broken a second time? Now a well-known author, he loves his calm, solitary life in an isolated farmhouse. He and Felicity are just too different; their relationship could never work.
But Felicity is just as fascinating and joyful as ever, and that wonderful sexy magic is still there, too. As for love, perhaps it's even deeper and more delightful the second time around.

    HEA with no cliffhanger!
    This is a Standalone Romance.
Length: 5 hrs and 56 mins
    Content Advisory:
There are mild sex actions and thoughts, but not much and no "C" words were used.
    Story
Felicity and Marek met 43 years ago in college. Their attraction came quite sudden and intense as it often does when you're so young. Different ideas of what each wanted for their future, eventually lead to their demise.
This story is told through a series of flashbacks, and at times it can get a bit confusing. There is no true aural clues to signal the shifts in time. I ended up reading along with the ebook as I listened to the audiobook.
Felicity and Marek are both incredibly stubborn and their lack of communication makes it even worse for their relationship. Felecity's penchant for running away from her problems, doesn't help either. And she doesn't just run to a friend's house, she runs to the other side of the globe!
Forty years and all it entails, doesn't damper the attraction and love these two still feel. But just as the warmth returns so does the cold. The epic level of tenacity and determination to hold out for the other to make the first move is astounding. The constant power tug of war carried on a little too long in my opinion.
It is refreshing to have the main characters of a love story not be so young. Yes, there are many flashbacks to their youth, so we have a lot of interaction with them in their early 20s. Ultimately, the main meat and potatoes of the story, takes place with them in their 60s. Their bodies may of aged but they are still young at heart.

Who's pretending to be Barbara Cartland?
According to Miss Cartland's heirs, they have discovered more than a hundred unpublished manuscripts of her work. I'm not sure that this is her work. It tells of the Viscount of Kennington's disagreement with his father, the Earl of Kennington, who blames him for the death of the Viscount's grandfather, the Marquis of Alderberry. At no time does the Earl succeed to the Marquisate, passing his title of Earl to his son, the Viscount. They remain Earl and Viscount until the end of the story. Believe me, Barbara Cartland would NEVER make this mistake.
I have been a fan of her books for more than twenty years and would recognise her work if it was published anonymously. Yes, it's a typical Cartland plot, and quite enjoyable in its way, but I cannot believe it she wrote it.. It is stilted and amateurish. It is the way I wrote myself until I learned how to critique my own work severely. Her lovers mumble, splutter and whimper, words Miss Cartland would never ascribe to them. The Viscount's reaction to Luella Ridgeway is that of a callow youth besotted by the first girl he has ever met, not the cynical, jaded rake who is tamed when true love replaces lust. If this really is Miss Cartland's work then it is obviously a discarded first draft. Her heirs defame her memory allowing this rubbish to be published under her name. If you must publish it, then for God's sake get an experienced editor to EDIT it first.
