"Menor Que Yo" (English: Younger Than Me) is a song by Puerto Rican reggaetón recording artist Ivy Queen, from the platinum edition of her sixth studio album, Sentimiento (2007). It was composed by Queen, produced by Escobar & Zoprano and released as the lead single from the album on March 8, 2008. Lyrically, it talks about how age shouldn't matter if you're in love with someone. The lyrics are about what happens when an older women falls in love with a younger man. The song is also considered the answer to Luny Tunes's smash-hit "Mayor Que Yo". The song's accompanying music video was filmed in Panamá in January 2008. It was directed by Marlon Peña and produced by Alvis González. The song was able to peak at number twenty-five on the Billboard Latin Rhythm Airply chart.

Tom Noonan (born April 12, 1951) is an American actor, director, and screenwriter, best known for his roles as Francis Dolarhyde in Manhunter (1986), Frankenstein's Monster in The Monster Squad (1987), Cain in RoboCop 2 (1990), The Ripper in Last Action Hero (1993), Sammy Barnathan in Synecdoche, New York (2008), Mr. Ulman in The House of the Devil (2009), Reverend Nathaniel in Hell on Wheels (2011–2014), the Pallid Man in 12 Monkeys (2015–2018) and as the voice of everyone else in Anomalisa (2015).

Noonan is also a writer and director of theatre and film. His debut feature film What Happened Was (1994) won the Dramatic Grand Jury Prize and Screenwriting Award at the Sundance Film Festival.

rWotD Episode 2811: Alberto Zorrilla

The random article for Monday, 13 January 2025 is Alberto Zorrilla.

Victoriano Alberto Zorrilla (April 6, 1906 – April 23, 1986) was an Argentine swimmer who competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics and in the 1928 Summer Olympics where he became the first South American to win an Olympic swimming gold medal.

Zorrilla, aged just 18 years old, competed in Paris, France in the 1924 Summer Olympics, he entered in three events, in the 100 metres freestyle he finished 2nd behind Clayton Bourne from Canada in his opening heat so qualified for the semi-finals, in the semi-final he finished sixth nearly seven seconds behind winner Johnny Weissmuller who broke the Olympic record, in his other two events he didn't get past the heats, in the 400 metres freestyle he finished 4th, and in the 4 x 200 metre freestyle relay he again finished 4th in the heat.

Four years later he was competing in the 1928 Summer Olympics held in Amsterdam, Netherlands, he entered four events this time, in the 400 metres freestyle he won both his heat and semi-final, and then in the final he swam a time of 5:01.6 winning the gold medal and breaking the Olympic record which Johnny Weissmuller had set at the previous Olympics, thus also becoming South America's first Olympic swimming gold medalist. He also reached the finals in the 100 metres freestyle where he finished seventh, and the 1500 metres freestyle where he finished fifth, in his final event the 4 x 200 metre freestyle relay they finished last in there heat so didn't qualify for the final.

Alberto was the flag bearer for Argentina at the opening ceremony of the 1932 Summer Olympics but missed the competitions due to illness.

He swam for the New York Athletic Club and in 1954 became a U. S citizen.

He married an Icelander, Sonja Wendel Benjamínsson de Zorilla. They became rich, at least partly through Wall Street investments, and later in life lived on Park Avenue, New York.

He died in Miami, Florida two weeks after his 80th birthday. He is buried in Iceland next to his wife Sonja.

Robin Close (born 3 November 1949) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Essendon in the VFL during the late 1960s and 1970s.

A forward, Close could play the key positions but was used mainly as a half forward flanker. He debuted in 1968 and played in Essendon’s 1968 VFL Grand Final side that year.

His best seasons in front of goal were 1969 when he kicked 39, 1973 with 38 and 1975 with 36. His career stalled in 1974 when he had a leg injury but he returned the following year. He retired in 1978 having played 147 games and kicked 233 goals.

After departing the league scene he played country football in the Ovens and Murray Football League initially with Myrtleford and then with Benalla. Close went onto coach Benalla in 1981 and 1982.

Thea Kano (born August 1, 1965) is an American conductor. She is the Founder of the New York City Master Chorale, and was its Artistic Director until the end of the 2018–2019 season. She served as the Associate Music Director of the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington, D. C. from 2004 to 2014, and has been appointed its Artistic Director, effective September 2, 2014. She served as the Associate Conductor of the Washington Chorus and Artistic Director of the Capitol Hill Youth Chorus from 2004–2009, both of which she joined in 2004 after earning her doctorate in choral conducting from UCLA, writing her dissertation on Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem under Professor Donald Neuen. She also studied privately with Paul Salamunovich.

A native of northern California, Dr. Kano lives in Washington and New York. During the summer, Kano teaches at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop in Washington.

The Coves dels Hams (Catalan pronunciation: [ˈkɔβəz ðəlz ˈams]; Spanish: Cuevas dels Hams; "Fishhook Caves") are a solutional cave system on the east coast of the Spanish Balearic Island of Mallorca. The caves are in the municipality of Manacor, about 1 km to the west of the town of Porto Cristo.

Alongside the larger Coves del Drach ("Cavern of the Dragon"), the Coves dels Hams contribute to the cavernous tourist attractions in the eastern region of the island.

Frances "Fanny" Brawne Lindon (9 August 1800 – 4 December 1865) is best known as the fiancée and muse to English Romantic poet John Keats. As Fanny Brawne, she met Keats, who was her neighbour in Hampstead, at the beginning of his brief period of intense creative activity in 1818. Although his first written impressions of Brawne were quite critical, his imagination seems to have turned her into the goddess-figure he needed to worship, as expressed in Endymion, and scholars have acknowledged her as his muse.

They became secretly engaged in October 1819, but Keats soon discovered that he was suffering from tuberculosis. His condition limited their opportunities to meet, but their correspondence revealed passionate devotion. In September 1820, he left for the warmer climate of Rome, and her mother agreed to their marrying on his projected return, but he died there in February 1821, aged twenty-five.

Brawne drew consolation from her continuing friendship with Keats' younger sister, who was also called Fanny. Brawne later married and bore three children, whom she entrusted with the intimate letters Keats had written to her. When these were published in 1878, it was the first time the public had heard of Brawne, and they aroused interest among literary scholars. But they attracted much venom from the press, which declared her to have been unworthy of such a distinguished figure. This may have been exacerbated by the fact that none of Brawne's letters to Keats have survived, also giving rise to her reputation as a cold and unfeeling personage among earlier Keats scholars. By contrast, the later publication of Brawne's letters to Fanny Keats showed her in a more favourable light, greatly improving her reputation.

Franklin and the Turtle Lake Treasure (Franklin et le trésor du lac in France and Benjamin et le Trésor du lac in Canadian French) is a children's animated adventure drama film which was released on September 6, 2006 direct-to-video, based on the TV series Franklin. The first Franklin film shown in theaters in Canada and France, it was the last production in the Franklin series to be traditionally animated.

The film centres around Franklin's granny falling ill during a visit from Franklin's Aunt Lucy, an archaeologist. Aunt Lucy knows about a special talisman that may cure the illness and joins Franklin on a quest to find it, with his friends Bear, Beaver and Snail. They are also accompanied by Aunt Lucy's goddaughter, Samantha (Sam), whose personality clashes with Franklin's.

The film, released to direct-to-video in the United States by HBO, has had occasional TV airings on the Nick Jr. Channel. Writer John van Bruggen said, "This film will take Franklin on a much greater adventure than any of the past Franklin films, including Franklin and the Green Knight." The film, written by van Bruggen and directed by Dominique Monféry, was distributed by Mars Distribution. StudioCanal distributed it internationally. It also had the working titles Franklin and the Secret Talisman and Franklin and Granny's Secret.

The film was the finale of the 1997 series, since no new episodes were produced after its release. It was Patricia Gage's final performance before her death in 2010.

Some Best Friend You Turned Out to Be is the debut studio album by Max Tundra, the alias of English producer Ben Jacobs. After releasing his debut single "Children at Play" through Warp Records in 1998, Tundra signed with Domino Records who released the album on 25 April 2000. The tracks "Cakes" and "Ink Me" were issued as singles.

In 2008, the entire album was reworked by several of Max Tundra's musician friends as Best Friends, which was released as a companion to Tundra's third album Parallax Error Beheads You. The record was re-released in 2022.
